I was lucky
enough to be invited to the Lush Christmas Blogger Event in Canterbury a week
ago, it was my second event at the store since attending last Christmas’ event
as well. The main aim of the event was to showcase the incredible new releases
in the Christmas collection, with fun games and competitions and demos to
follow. Of course as with any blogger event I have to go with my blogger bestie
Harriet and the lovely Jaide Poppy who I met last year at this very event!
Costa prep time it was to begin with and have a good old catch up before
heading to the event.
Look at the slight difference an hour makes, hot chocolate to Buzz Fizz of course!
The Magic Wand creating it's (literal) magic!
We created our own bath cocktails in small groups from a bubble bar and a bath bomb, unfortunately my group did not win (congrats Jaide's team!) but our concoction definitely smelt the best but hey I’m not a sore loser! This concoction we created wasRuby Red Slippers Bubble Bar and a brand new bath bomb called Nevermind The Ballistic bath bomb which has a slight waxy top and is full of fun scents such as banana. Our fellow team mate came up with the tantalising name - Spiced Sunset.
After all this creativity it was back to trying and witnessing some more of the winter collection which was separated into morning and night. Items such as yummy shower gels like Bubbly to my ever favourite scent snow fairy in body conditioner format! (yes it is as good as it sounds and perfect after shaving!) I have got to say Lush has yet again out done themselves this year with their whole collection being vegan friendly!
We also got
to watch a number of different products being used and “tried” and watched (in
amazement) at the “Ruby Slippers” bubble bar being made for us. This was
created a bit differently due to time constraints so it was a disc rather than
a slipper but it is still amazing and smells so Christmassy it is unreal!
Nothing like a bubble bar that turns your bath red and glittery and smells
almost like mulled wine…. Ahhhh!
I am obsessed with Snow Fairy more than words can imagine.....
We then of
course got to splurge some money and of course Jaide was very much up for the
challenge filling an entire basket up with goodies (I’m not jealous, promise!)
I then had to run off to catch my train home which was a bummer because I am
sure there was a number of pictures that I missed out on… Sob! I was on the Lush Canterbury Instagram story… no
biggie myself and Harriet are now famous. Booking details to follow ;)
As always Lush is forever giving and gave each of us a goodie bag full of Christmas treats! I am unsure of what everyone got in their goodie bags however I know mine and Harriet varied slightly via the shower gels.
Lush gifted me Nevermind the Balastic bath bomb, a small soap called Santa's Postbox Soap and also a mini Comforter Shower cream - AMAZING!
As you can see I had to buy a Magic Wand, but next to it is the tiny disc of Ruby Slipper bubble bar that we created on the night. Bubble bars are my absolute favourite and I would definitely recommend picking up an actual Ruby Slipper Bubble Bar, Christmassy and full of bubbles!
The event was incredible of course and I had the best time as always. I want to take a moment to of course thank the staff at Canterbury Lush for the experience and the goodie bags that we received! As always you made me feel special and Christmassy. I met some amazing bloggers who I look forward to getting to know and perhaps even working with.
That's all for now my lovely readers,
Leah.
Fab post Leah!
